Thursday afternoon Karonhianónhnha School was host to the Young Adults Program’s (YAP) annual fun fair and was open to the whole community.
“This is one of the events of the community that, from a newborn to an elder, everyone can come to,” said YAP staff worker Allison Lahache.
There were plenty of awesome games for the kids such as ring toss, quarter toss, darts and bingo.
The big surprise was when Playground Poker made a $5,000 donation to the YAP.
“I am ecstatic that they gave such a generous donation, it’s going to go a long way,” said Lahache.
Hungry mouths were waiting in line for delicious hot dogs and hamburgers while Pat’s Pets presented creepy crawlies such as tarantulas and snakes for all to behold.
Children were thrilled to jump around on the fun bounce or zoom down its steep slide.
